Principal's Message

Dear Circle Center Grade School Community,

It is an honor to introduce myself as the incoming principal of Circle Center Grade School. I am truly humbled by the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of Dr. Shannon Hamm and am excited to return to the Yorkville School District—a place where I began my career and where my family currently resides. I look forward to meeting and connecting with the students, staff, and families in the coming weeks.

Throughout my career, I have gained a wide range of experiences both inside and outside the elementary classroom that have shaped my approach to educational leadership. Starting as a third and fourth-grade classroom teacher, I developed a strong foundation in building positive relationships with students and created engaging, inclusive learning environments that met the diverse needs of every child. Beyond the classroom, I have served as a Student Services Coordinator, Interventionist, Reading Improvement Teacher, and most recently as Principal of May Watts Elementary School in Indian Prairie School District for the past two years. These roles have strengthened my skills in collaboration, problem-solving, and fostering positive relationships among students, families, and staff.

Having been part of the Yorkville community for several years, I have seen firsthand the importance our schools play in our children’s development and our community’s success. I am deeply committed to fostering a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment where every child feels supported and inspired to reach their full potential. Together with our dedicated teachers, staff, and families, I look forward to building on our school’s proud tradition of academic excellence and kindness.

My leadership philosophy centers on open communication, collaboration, and a shared commitment to every student’s success and well-being. I firmly believe that strong partnerships between home and school are essential to creating positive experiences and meaningful growth for our students. I am eager to work alongside each of you throughout the school year. Please feel free to reach out to me anytime—I welcome your thoughts, questions, and involvement as we continue this journey together.

I am proud to join the Circle Center Grade School family and will remain committed to inspiring all students to reach their fullest potential while upholding our school’s long-standing traditions of pride and excellence. I will prioritize fostering positive, collaborative relationships with students, staff, and families, and lead with integrity, always putting our students at the forefront of every decision. I look forward to partnering with you during your child’s time at Circle Center Grade School and sharing our collective growth and success as a community.

Proud to be a Fox!
