Katie Kempski was named the principal of Circle Center Grade School in July 2025.

Prior to being named principal, Katie served as principal at May Watts Elementary School in Indian Prairie School District #204. She also served as Student Services Coordinator and worked as the school’s Interventionist, Reading Specialist and taught 3rd and 4th grades. 

Katie earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Illinois State University. She then pursued a Master’s degree in Reading and Literacy from Benedictine University. After serving on school leadership teams for several years, Katie enrolled in the Master’s of Arts in Educational Leadership with principal endorsement program at Aurora University where she graduated in 2018. 

Katie lives in Yorkville with her husband and three children all of whom attend Yorkville schools.
